Barcelona 2013

Back 2013, I went on a school trip to Barcelona. (Yes, I know these are all pretty old, just go with it.) I seemed to just walk around the whole trip with my camera in my hand because I have hundreds – if not thousands – of these saved to my computer. So I decided to share some of them on here!

Blackberry picking (summer 2013)

I don’t know what it is with me and blackberries. I genuinely have no answer. These were taken the same day as another post but I decided to break them up. At the time I found the blackberries growing  in a graveyard quite ironic – life and beauty growing out of a place dedicated to the dead. This is what happens when you get a 16 year old to over analyse Seamus Heaney. I swear that for the whole time we were doing “Blackberry Picking” and “Death of a Naturalist” in higher English, I saw the world in a new poetic, pretentious light. Good for creativity, not so much for anything else

art folio references

Now these are pretty old, early 2013 maybe? For the life of me I can’t remember if it was Edinburgh or Glasgow and they were taken on my mum’s dying point and shoot. But they have sentimental value to me as they were the photos I used as reference for my intermediate 2 art folio (which I failed) and I’ve been meaning to put them up on here for 2 years now. Better late than never…

The sky’s awake (summer 2013)

So you know that generic desktop background of the walkway running out to the dramatic body of water? Yeah, well this was the first thing I took with my DSLR. I don’t know if I was using it on manual and the last owners had it set up for these exact conditions, but it captured the typical moody British summer sky pretty well! I’ve never been able to replicate it since.

Scarborough, summer 2014

So, how long has it been blog? Oh wow, 5 years! Are you serious, I remember the last post like it was freaking yesterday. (I'm way too young to feel old…) But anyway, I’ve recently started a personal style blog (it’s here if you want to check it out) but through this I’ve been taking a tonne of Photos (like fill up the computer’s memory, tonne) and I’ve been doing a 365 project with my DSLR. So this blog is now going to be a casual place to dump all the pictures I’m proud of that don’t have a place on my main blog

So without further ado, here’s the photos from Scarborough this summer, enjoy!
